International Family Drug Support Day 2019

On the back of the new National Drugs’ Strategy ‘Reducing Harm, Supporting Recovery; a health led response to drug and alcohol use in Ireland 2017-2025’ and to the mark the International Family Drug Support Day 24th February 2019 the FAMILY ADDICTION SUPPORT NETWORK has organised an information/awareness event at their premises for Tuesday 26th February 2019.

The International Family Drug Support Day is set on the date of the passing of Damien Trimingham from a drug-related overdose. The day has become an annual event to highlight the need for families to not only be recognised and heard but to be supported and encouraged to speak about their concerns and their needs.
