FASN Corporate Governance

FASN – The Family Addiction Support Network is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors who guide and oversee the organisation, ensuring we meet our goals and objectives while upholding our core values and principles.

Board Members

Our board members serve on a voluntary basis, with no remuneration for their service. We are committed to the highest standards of governance and transparency to safeguard our credibility, independence, and long-term sustainability.

Through all our activities and governance policies, we remain dedicated to maintaining the trust and support of the families we assist, our volunteers, donors, and all other stakeholders.

Compliance

Charities Governance Code: FASN is publicly signed up to the Charities Governance Code as regulated by The Charities Regulator.
Memberships: FASN is a proud member of organisations that support the nonprofit sector, including The Wheel and other relevant networks.

Good Fundraising Principles

Our board has formally adopted and publicly committed to the Statement of Guiding Principles for Fundraising. We have implemented strict controls to ensure all fundraising practices are in line with these Principles and any related Codes of Practice.

Transparent Auditing and Accounting Reporting

FASN’s annual independently audited accounts are made readily available to the public (?) – need to check this

We are listed on the Charities Regulatory Authority Register of Charities (RCN: 20206614) and are an approved charity with the Irish Revenue Commissioners.

At every Board meeting, Directors are required to declare any conflict of interest to ensure full transparency.

Our strategic plan outlines our goals and outcomes for the future, helping us guide our work in the coming years.
